The objective of the game is to place the ball(s) closest to the target (in this case a small target ball often called the jack). Variations on this concept are shared by numerous games played in different countries and include sports like boules curling and even marbles. However since competition Bocce balls have always been rock hard (made of wood or composites) the game is restricted to soft surfaces; predominantly outdoors on dirt clay or grass. How Did We Do It? Using our world-famous Ultimax two-ply roto-molding process (see Ultimax in the index) we were able to mold the ball to official size while formulating the internal ply to duplicate the official weight. We were also able to formulate the outside ply to provide a soft foam all-floor-safe landing. Set includes 12 game balls (6 each of 2 colors) the Jack ball and carry case.
